Grey Afternoon

We have an unofficial tradition, a rainy birthday walk. For the last three years, Isabel and I have needed to get out. Escape ourselves and maybe the day just for a little bit.

We throw on our wellies and head outdoors into the grey and misty May afternoon.

Isabel said, "Mom, my best part of today was being with you. And being in the rain, I'm a soggy-boggy girl!"

These are the little moments that make me so grateful.

*I'm in process of a little updating-- what do you think?

So sweet -- don't you wish you could just capture those moments and keep them in a little box to pull out again when you need them?!

Like the cleaner more streamlined look.

That is one of the sweetest things I've heard.. it makes me really excited to have kids one day!

Also, I LOVE that your daughter is named Isabel. That's the way my sister spells her name too and I think it's so beautiful.

PS your header is amazing! xoxo
